come on chaps! where's the bulldog spirit? there's not been a game since april and if this gets scrubbed we'll have to wait forever for the next! as the guys are saying.....lets not have our kit gathering dust, lets put it to use and obey the first rule of cia "let's not be cocks" and miss this game! 
After a site visit, this event is most definitely a "go". We have some more Germans to come and, we have enough Russians (though more would be nice), to make a battle of it without compromising our standards.

Really wanted to come to this site looks great, but not the 24hour thing 
(Have period tentage and well up for period camping area but not the full on 24hours. Love the CIA game play and hope that it still gets the support that the organisers deserve)
But you don't have to do the 24 hour thing! There are various options available to players, according to how hard they want to push themselves! You could be in bed by 2100hrs if you wanted, having spent the day riding around in a jeep! Noone, on any side, will be humping a bergen or tons of kit. Only those who WANT to will be stagging on and creeping about in the dark.
Where, oh where, does this perception come from that we beast people for a full 24 hours? We have pointed out on SEVERAL threads that A) Kit doesn't have to be perfect and B) That this event will only be as "hardcore" as the paying punters WANT it to be. We're fully aware that people aren't as fit as soldiers and, that they have jobs to go to on monday morning (myself included!). CiA events are all about building the atmosphere and tension, to immerse players in the period, not about leaving them f**ked for days after they are finished.

It's not what you think it is. Even the Jedburgh 24 hour event wasn't 24 hours. We were all so bloody knackered by 10pm that any thoughts of stag rotas and stand-to went straight out the window

I have too many work commitments and overseas trips in July to get to this without employing a divorce lawyer but I'm sure it will be top notch.

We've asked some ex regular mates with "interesting" military backgrounds to come along to help bulk up the Russians . The won't necessarily be booked in , just lurking in the woods waiting their chance .

guy has already stated on a few posts that partisan is an option if people dont have the kit and also on the kit loan thread several people have stated they have spare kit and weapons in some cases that people could borrow.
Basically the excuses that some people are coming up with are down to the fact that they havent read the forums or they have some strange idea in there heads that they are gonna be lugging shit loads of kit around , be captured and dragged off in the dark and be left unable to go to work for the next 2-3 weeks.

No one on here has EVER said its a full on Hardcore have to do 24hr event. Its take it as relaxed as you like or as hardcore as you like, i know for a fact if people wanna sack it at 10pm thats fine with me , i'll get the beer out and have a drink and go too kip like everyone else. Anyone on the german side at jedburgh will know that or be able to tell you. From what i see the ones who did most of the "hardcore" stuff i.e the Jeds themselves (when they were not captured) are coming to this game.
